Concern is an international humanitarian organisation dedicated to reducing suffering and ending extreme poverty. Since the beginning, over 40 years ago, Concern's focus has been on improving the lives of people in the poorest countries in the world. Concern helps vulnerable communities to achieve improvements in their lives and to realise their basic human rights - to food; health; education and ultimately to a life of dignity.

Our work focuses on emergency relief, education, health, HIV and AIDS and livelihoods.
Concern responds to emergencies by addressing immediate needs e.g. distribution of food and non food items, and enabling the affected populations by developing their capacity to cope. We also work to reduce the frequency of disasters.
With 113 million children of primary school age not enrolled in school, Concern is focused on providing basic education to those who need it most.
Concern's health programmes ensure that equal access to health services is enjoyed by the poor in the countries where we work.
"Livelihoods" means a person's ability to earn a living. Our livelihoods work is fundamental to what we do.
Over 40 million people around the world are now living with HIV. Concern works to reduce the prevalence of HIV and the impact of AIDS in all our development and emergency projects.
